I wanted to convey the message of the feeling of being overwhelmed by a force you can’t stop nor comprehend. I based the giant furby idea off of Cthulhu and Galactus. As these characters are planet sized creations that threaten existence itself and show how small we are in comparison to these overwhelming forces.
I found it useful to use textures onto objects to help blend them into the background to make it much more convincing. The layer masks were quite useful as well.
I feel that surrealism has so much freedom which is both positive and negative as you can do whatever you want. But also don’t have a format to necessarily follow. I personally find surrealism much more interesting.
