Each watercolor effect photo is a selfie that I had taken with a friend. The first one is me and my friend Cedric, and we were on a trip to Sweden and Denmark for choir, where we competed in the European Choir Games. The second photo is taken at the Mountain View High School parking lot, where I ran into my friend Natalie. We met through community theatre, and became good friends. The third photo is of me and my friend Connor, who decided to move away to Kentucky for his senior year. Before he moved, our mutual friends all decided to take a trip to LA together to visit colleges and Disneyland. The photo was taken when we visited UCLA. These photos may not be professional, but they mean the world to me.
Filters are always something that I used to associate with celebrities and influencers, who edit their photos to make them fit into the current beauty standards. However, I never considered creating art with filters. This assignment taught me that I can create different types of art and play around with different materials digitally.
I see myself using these techniques to create art for future Christmas and Birthday presents. I think it’s super cool, and a unique gift to give.
