Turkey Posse: A Senior Digital Pastel Painting by Tori Florian (2021)

When I had taken this picture, I was on a hike with my brother, Dad, and Grandpa. We had noticed that the area was surrounded with turkeys but there were just these 3 specific ones. One turkey wanted to cross the grass but all of a sudden these two turkeys had come up and practically scared it away. It was kind of sad and mean but they looked cool. Which is why I called this the Turkey Posse.

Starting our Narrative Perspectives Unit, we were given the assignment to pastel paint on Photoshop. I decided to use my turkey picture but it was sot of a mistake. I hadn't really realized how many different colors there were in the grass, shade, and turkeys. Finding that out, I decided to hyperfocus on one area then blur out the rest, and by that, I mean coloring in bigger clumps of color. This sort of made it odd and it was just this tiny hyper-focused spot so then I decided to just crop to my liking. Leaving me this cool pastel-painted Turkey Posse. Related website
