What is animatic in General and its purpose?

 

                 An animatic is basically used as a animators rough outline or storyboard for how a certain animation is going to work. The animatic you see above is a good example of how I constructed the final flash on the Animation page. It shows the basic drawings that I made on how i wanted everything to look in the animation and on what the dialog should be like. I also threw in some sound effects to help give me a better visual of what i either like or dont like about the animation. I believe that is one of the animatics main purposes, to make sure that you like everything you see before you spend all the time making the final flash version. The other reason, and the main reason, is to help you construct the basis for your flash. Therefore, it is always important that you make the animatic first before moving on the the final version.
