Geometry is everywhere in our lives, and often in places we don’t notice. This is a photo of the end of a hand railing outside a building. It has this square opening, full of darkness that contrasts the lighter paint surrounding it. I wanted to create a composition that focuses on this sharp, geometric, darkness. The light parts of the railing lead into it, creating leading lines that further draw they eye towards this spot of contrast. I’m happy with how this photo turned out.
