I’m Chloe Burns, a Freestyle student in Film. I’m interested in all aspects of film, especially behind the scenes stuff, like directing, editing, and special effects. I love movies, a few of my favorite’s including Napoleon Dynamite, Scott Pilgrim v.s. the World, and Sing Street. I want to go to film school for college, and I hope I get a career in film production. In my spare time, I enjoy playing acoustic or electric guitar and genres like rock, indie, and alternative. I also love to draw, especially portraits of people I admire like music artists such as Billie Eilish, or Phoebe Bridgers.
A core value I live by is respect. I think it’s really important to respect people around you, and also the planet. I advocate for climate change and try to do anything in my power to help. I believe it’s essential to all kids my age, and in my generation to be aware about climate change and the serious and critical effects it has on our planet. It’s our only home, big corporations are killing it, and we all need to do what we can to save it.
Currently I’m very passionate about music. I play guitar almost every day. I’m super into music production, even though I have very little experience with it, but I’d love to do it more. I’m also constantly listening to music throughout the day, because it keeps my mind off of things I worry about, and it just generally keeps me happy.
I chose to join Freestyle because i saw it as a way to express my creativity more. I also found out about it through my older sibling, Leo, who graduated from Freestyle in 2025 as a Design student. I’m not very passionate about academic subjects, or sports, so I thought Freestyle would be a great option to get more into creative subjects, and make friends that have similar interests as me. And so far, I’m having a great time and really happy that I made the decision to come here.
