My name is Chloe Outten, and I attend Mountain View High School with a dual enrollment in Freestyle Academy of Communication Arts and Technology. At Freestyle, I am enrolled in the film program where we learn to shoot, edit, and create various kinds of films.
Outside of school, I work at Hyperspace Arcade, where I host kids’ birthday parties. My core values are creativity, non-conformity, and compassion. I believe that you should always express yourself and never be afraid to be who you truly are. I carry these values with me through everything I do, and always try to be my most authentic self.
I am passionate about learning and giving back to me community through volunteering and outreach. In my free time, I love to spend time with my friends and family as well as meeting new people. I chose to become a Freestyle Academy student because I wanted to explore my creative side and join a community of peers that values artistry. I am extremely interested in learning about different forms of media and how to create them. Furthermore, I love everything film-related and really enjoy making my own short films.

Water
I recently went on a trip, where I captured this image of the ocean! I was very grateful to be able to travel with my family, and admire the hues of the blue water. There was a turquoise tint to the water, and I thought it was pretty there was a boat in the background…

Balance in Holiday Traditions
Every year during the holiday’s, we celebrate my sister Mary Kate’s birthday. She was born very close to Christmas, so December is always a very fun time for us celebrating both her birthday and Christmas! Leading Lines
I chose this image of a hike I went on, because the path shows “leading lines.” The image directs you towards the people walking in the distance, and the outline of the path alongside the trees help lead the viewer’s focus forward. I really enjoyed this hike because I found it peaceful and relaxing, and…

Sunsets
I decided to capture this image of the sunset, because as I was driving home I noticed how pretty the sky was. I have always found sunset’s very captivating, because to me they represent hope and love; one day ending, means that another promising day is on the way. I love the pink and blue…

Weight and Mass
50mm 1/50 f3.5 ISO100 I wanted to play with how light effects the mass of different shots, and I ended up liking how the light fixtures played off of the flower in the center. It took several tries to figure out how I wanted to position the two, and ended up placing the flowers directly…

Self-Portrait
In this Self-Portrait, I expressed how my creativity and inward thoughts are an essential part of my being, all without showing my face. I had a five second timer going so I could try to arrange the shot before the camera went off, which made it difficult to align all of the elements correctly. However,…

Mood
50mm. 0″5, F11, ISO 100 In this picture, I expressed my current mood of hope by taking a picture of my dog looking out the window. He does those often, always hoping to see something different or exciting. Lately I have been feeling similarly to him, waiting for something big to come and catch my…
