Through this photo, my goal was to tell the story of what aging looks like in a single photograph. This broad prompt allowed for many different interpretations, but for me, I wanted to focus on aging and what it means for our childhood wonder.

In this photograph, I captured my childhood favorite stuffed animal, a very loved and worn toy that has always been a source of comfort for me. The stuffed animal is not as bright as it once was. In fact, it shows clear signs of aging, with faded colors and a slightly grey tint from years of being loved and carried around. However, I chose to place it in the sunlight to symbolize warmth and life, highlighting its faded color instead of trying to hide it. Through this image, I wanted to show that even as we grow older, we do not have to lose our sense of childhood wonder. Instead, that wonder can grow and age alongside us. The sunlight and the worn appearance of the stuffed animal work together to reflect how the comfort of childhood memories can continue as time goes on.
