For this image I was challenged to create a picture that is inspired by a reflection. As a senior in a period of change and deciding the next steps in my life I have done a lot of reflecting on the past and passing of time. For this image I wanted reflection to symbolize the passing of time: the trees reflected are beginning to turn orange, a physical embodiment of fall and the changing of seasons. Yet, the trees are swaying slightly with the wind, and in the reflection you can see the movement of the trees flowing with the change of the colors. I decided to blur the surrounding to draw the eye to the reflection, and while a hard picture to capture I’m glad I stuck to my original intent and goal with inspiration from reflection.
