This month, I was challenged to compose a photo inspired by serenity. Serenity is described as an undisturbed sense of inner peace, which for me happens when I lean into my faith instead of away from it. Through this photo, I captured a set of items connected to one of the moments when I felt the most serene: sitting quietly in the woods with my Bible after a deep discussion with friends. With no cell reception, no school, and no distractions, church camp felt like a peaceful bubble away from the stress of everyday life. The objects in the photograph, especially the Bible and the notebook, symbolize the calmness, reflection, and connection that helped create that sense of serenity for me.
