For this photograph, we were challenged to use unique angles to compose a shot. This assignment had me looking a little crazy, crouching under trees and lying on the ground trying to find interesting perspectives, but it was fun to see the world from angles I normally would never notice. I ended up loving this photo taken from underneath and inside an orange tree because it revealed something hidden from view when simply walking by. The bright oranges were tucked inside the tree, and I love the interesting patterns created by the layers of foliage. This assignment showed me how changing your perspective can completely transform an ordinary subject into a much more interesting photograph, as well as reminding me how much we miss in our routines and how we often need to look at things from new perspectives.
