Welcome to my narrative website! As part of such a project, my goal was to write a story, draw it using Photoshop, make it into an animatic in Flash, and finally, after a lot of audio recording, make it into an animation in Flash. Fortunately, I have achieved all of this- and more! In addition to such accomplishments, I have also drawn an illustration in Adobe Illustrator and have composed another diptych (photo-narrative), both having been finished in Design class.

What I learned most was that a lot of things require step by step thinking. For example, in the animation, I needed to plan everything out, visualize everything ahead of time and, most of all, avoid being myopic. I suppose hindsight is a good word to be used when describing this situation; all in all, I learned a lot from this experience. In the past months, I developed a short story in English, drew in in Photoshop, and then made it into an animatic and an animation in Web/Audio class. In design, I embarked on and finished 2 pieces: the photo-narrative and the illustration.

As always, I love relating my projects to thematic themes; for example, this website's design was inspired by George Orwell's 1984, and his idea that government can hold an inordinate amount of control and power over its subjects. In the background, you may see a person's face. The face is supposed to be ambiguous, as it can either be male or female. It's shadow, or reflection, dominates whatever it is watchiing. As in 1984, the government, headed by a "Big Brother," cast its shadow over everything it watched, which was, of course, everything in Oceania.

The programs I used to compose these projects include: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and GarageBand. Again, I am thankful for the opportunity to use such useful programs and appreciate the knowledge I have acquired.

I hope that you enjoy the various projects I worked on for this particular website. Thanks for reading!
