Film Noir
This week our focus was Film Noir, a gloomy film setting with dark shadows and expressive imagery. This is what I came up with.
WORK
For this photo we where asked to interpret work through someone else eyes. I took this too heart and my photo is more symbolic. There is a door that is just out of reach. Like many goals or dreams of life getting to the door is hard to achieve and requires work to get your way up there. The lack of stairs also conveys that my times there is no single path forward and that not everyone reaches there goals and dreams with work. But with enough patience time and commitment you can make your own path and open the door.
Color Theory
In this photo we where asked to emphasize color and use color theory. I took this photo in alaska and I spen time editing it to get the colors right. I really enjoy the end product as the blue and white contrast each other very nicely.
Modern Convience
The focus of this photo was to show modern convenience or more accurately modern things that we could not lie without. For me, that is the shower I love the water and it helps me relax I don’t think I could survive thought one every day.
The Elements
The focus of this photo was to show one of the elements of the world (Earth, Fire, Air, Water). To do this I decided to take a different perspective. The Metal beams are the earth whose veins run with metal and the plant makes up the wind and the spirit of the world. Little Poetic but hey its photography!
Rule of Odds
The goal of the photo for this week was to illustrate the rule of odds. This is when the composition of the photo has an odd amount of objects in the foreground. This was my attempt, the beams on the left are one point, the cranes in the center the second and the beams to the right make up the third.
