In Design class, we were assigned two separate projects: a Book Jacket and a Surrealist Photo. The book jacket is designed after the story we wrote in English. This book jacket shows several tennis balls ripping through a blue background. I chose to make the background a darker blue, as that allowed for the bright lime green tennis balls to pop off of the page even more. Since my story is for young adults, I tried to make the cover come across as an appealing image to this age group.

The surrealist photo was a way for us to explore our creativity. My surrealist piece shows the metamorphosing of feet hanging from shoelaces, as opposed to shoes. The background shows a high-dynamic-range image of a landscape with abstract shapes at the bottom and a telephone wire stringing across the composition. Many of us take for granted the privelage of walking in order to get around. This image is meant to capture the strain we put our feet through on a daily basis.
