Introduction
this was my documentary about public artists in the bay area i wanted to give theese pepole a voice because i feel as they do a lot for the bay area, this process was really fun and i got to talk to pepole and enjoy lots of music
English and Digital Media
In english we worked for a while on developing our documentaries over time, we analyzed different parts of making a documentary and applied it to make our own, we had to think of the different questions that we would ask them, practicing on our peers, and then we would get the information form our interviews and then we would use this information to write them a page on our documentary
the first time we did an interview we made a presentation about our interviewee and showed it to the class, the presentation introduced our topic and why we were doing it, then we would introduce our interviewee and share the stuff they talked about, and how it relates to our topic, then using the feedback we got from our peers we write a page or two about the person that we interviewed.
The second interview was a shorter process, we already had to practice and the information from the first interview so we didn’t need to do as much for this one. Still, it was good to get a wider and more diverse spread of information and different perspectives on things, and it helped us add more to our documentaries.
The process was pretty hard to do, we had a long time to work on the whole thing, but each step would take a different amount of time, we had quite a while to do our first interview, which was good because it was hard for me to find my first interviewee, the other steps like the second interview and writing process were much shorter, and it was a little stressful to get it all done in time, especially making it long enough to be an actual documentary.
but overall I’m glad I got to do this experience and I think it exposed me to a lot of new ideas for writing.
In digital media we worked on making a visual article that would be printed on a magazine, for this we used Adonbe indesing, we learend plety of new steps and techiques to make an aestheticly pleasing article, for exaple we learend thing like how to use color swatches by importing color pallets from the web, how to wrap text around a image so that you could see it better.
im very happy to know theese skills so that i could apply them if i ever want to make my own magazine article, i am a big fan of graphic desing after all and i can see this being applied to my future if i ever want to work in the feild of desing for magazines.
Elective Class Production
My elective class is Animaiton so obviouly i did an animaiton! this was my first fully renderd and shaded animaiton i did, it was lots of fun, i had a really fun time with color coposition as i wanted to bring a concert vibe to it. I drew Len Callo, the lead singer of the band i interviewd as cat becuase the band was called LenCat, so i thought it would be fun to do.
The animaiton took a little while to finish but the process was much easier than the wrighting in my opoinion.

LenCat:
LenCat have been toghter since the 80s and they have done many shows in the years, they love being preformers, and sharing there music with pepole, they do many diffrent styles of music becuae they all like diffrent things, and they are all very good friends, they all grew up in diffrent places too, but now they all live in the bay area and preform here.
Izzy and the Dizzy Lyzards:

Izzy and the Dizzy Lyzards is local band made ny Izzy that consists of teenargers in the bay area, they also do plenty of preformances around the Bay, lots of the times they will be in downtown at night.
Reflection
This project was very unique and a lot of fun, i feel like i learned a lot from it, about time mangement, writing and making a full product with multible diffrent parts. i dont think i would be able to pull something off like this on my own, so i thank freestlye for giving me the opportuinty, i feel like i got to meet knew pepole and learn new skills wich i wouldntve if i never did this project, and im very greatfull that i got to do so.
There was times when i was frusterated with the project as it could be confusing or just really hard, it was hard to chose what informaiton i should foucus on the most and what best relates to the message i want to convey. but looking back it was a lot of fun to be able to do this and i think i would like to be involved in more documentaries in my life. i feel proud that i was able to get the recording, writing and animaiton done all by my slef and it expanded my skill set.
I think at one point in my life id like to revist something like this again, and see what i would do diffrently or what i would improve on., think if i tired even harder i could do better than what i have now, altough this is my first time working on something like this, so think i did good considering that.
