Reflecting back on your experience here at Freestyle, what are your final thoughts about Freestyle and how it has personally influenced you?
I couldn’t be more grateful for my time at Freestyle. I didn’t know what I wanted to do in life or college before Freestyle. I will never forget Mr. Taylor giving a presentation in my English class my sophomore year. The second after he finished talking, I knew that I wanted to be a part of the Freestyle community and that I wanted to study film (fast forward two years and I’m off to my dream school to do that exact thing.) And it’s all thanks to Freestyle. I have learned things that I never thought I would ever know how to do. I have made so many mistakes and came out the other side stronger because of them. I have learned so much about myself. I have discovered the type of worker, collaborator and person that I want to be. But above everything else, I will never be more grateful than I am for the relationships that I’ve established here. I have made incredible friends that I cannot imagine my life without. I have never had teachers that know and care about me more than the teachers at Freestyle. I don’t know what my life would look like without Freestyle and I’m so happy I never need to. I love Freestyle and everyone within it and I’m so grateful that I got the chance to be a part of such an amazing community.
