Negative space is very important when trying to emphasize or capture a feeling. While my photo doesn’t have a purpose it is a great representation of what my freestyle work is supposed to be. The photo before you was taken at the top of twin peaks in San Francisco and in order to get to the top you have to hike on the side of the mountain or walk up the road. Negative space was effective because it showed how high up the mountain we were. While the image captured didn’t tell a story, it is a memory and statement about friendship and overcoming challenges.
