Photoshop Pastel Painting
We used our Wacom tablet and photoshop to create a pastel painting. I themed this after a sunset I took at Russian Ridge.

Photoshop Watercolor Painting
We were tasked to use our Wacom tablets to draw our own watercolor painting using photoshop. I themed this after a river and mountain I saw in Taiwan.
During the creation of my photoshop watercolor painting, I learned how to express my ideas through painting. At first, I was skeptical of Photoshop’s ability to create watercolor paintings, but as I practiced and played with the program I knew it was capable of creating whatever I had in mind. If I can change anything about my painting, it would be to vary my brush strokes to create more diversity in my painting. As a design student, I can take this new found skill I developed in Digital Media and apply it to my Design courses. Now, I have a newfound appreciation for art and specifically watercolor painting. I know what it takes to produce an interesting drawing and hope to continue my production of watercolor paintings into the future.
Photoshop Painting with Artist Statement
I wanted to theme this photo in a very out of sorts space theme, combining murder hornets, the sun, trees, and cities.
During the creation of the Surreal project, I let my mind wander and explore putting unrelated objects together to create a piece of art. During the beginning of the process, I was struggling to get ideas for my project but after exploring the projects of former freestyle students, I was hit with inspiration and wanted to set my setting out in space. The objects in this drawing are salt pans, space, the moon, the sun, murder hornets, a lion head, a mountain, the skyline of a city, trees, and lastly a biohazard sign. I put together many more images because I wanted to let my creativity flow and create an image with a multitude of images. I used the blend modes and many of the strategies we learned during the photoshop compositing unit to create my art. Now that I have finished the project, I can tell that my sense for art has changed. I used to think art was loosely confined, and that there was still a definition of good art and bad art, but now that I have completed the project I realized that art is art and you can’t change what others perceive are art. I am proud of my ability to use the photoshop skill and create a piece of art, and I am glad with the way this project turned out.
Photoshop VR 360 Gallery
This is the Photoshop VR Gallery. There are photographs taken by me, which I added into photoshop templates and uploaded to WordPress. Feel free to move around the photograph in 360.
Multi-Layer Art Project
We were assigned to make design a Multi-Layer project on Illustrator, then Mr. Florendo printed it out using the later cutter. We built the project and took pictures of the final product.
For my 3d Light Box, I was inspired by the examples I saw online of nature-themed lightboxes, so I created my own based on what I saw online. I drew a river going through a path of Mountains and trees. I decided to name my piece Earth because I believed that it served as a resemblance to the nature we see in the world. As somebody who takes lots of inspiration from nature and often does homework outside to find peace, I felt that this project was a good resemblance to my interests in nature.
I created this product using Illustrator to design the lightbox, as well as After Effects to create the video. Through this process, I learned many skills such as animating 3d cameras, drawing art pieces in 3d and creating cameras that revolved around objects in After Effects. Throughout this process, I learned how to become a skilled artist and editor, which I hope to continue practicing in the future. I really enjoyed the process of creating this piece of art as it was very satisfying to see my ideas in programs become life in a real lightbox. This project allowed me to understand the process behind art and videos, and how important it is to have an understanding of all pieces of art.
