Introduction

In class, we were challenged to create a podcast of any topic of our choice. Arjun and I shared a similar interest in Electronic Interest and decided to carry out a podcast on this topic. Through this project we learned about an interest of ours on a deeper level and represented it through an informative yet interesting fashion to the rest of our class.

Our inspirations for the podcast included Song Exploder, NPR’s Planet Money, and Comedy Bang Bang, just to mention a few. Song exploder was a podcast that was directly related to our topic, but the other podcasts gave us ideas on how to structure our podcast and how to add humor to keep the listener engaged.

Process

To assemble this podcast, I used a combination of Pro Tools and Logic Pro X. Here are some images of our DAW backgrounds.

The Podcast

Reflection

From this Podcast Project, I learned how I could explore my interests and discuss them with others. I was fortunate to choose a topic with Arjun that involved the research and composition of music, which I found to be very fascinating and exciting. To first-time podcasters, I would recommend not becoming overwhelmed with the process, while it may seem like there is a lot to do, make a list and focus in on what you plan on creating.
