This older gentleman was busking in the middle of a very busy park in San Francisco. I observed him for a while as people passed by with all sorts of reactions. Some ignoring him completely, some nearly running into his bike parked behind him, and very few stopping to actual interact with the guy serenading them all as they photographed their loved ones and watched over their children climbing on the nearby art structure that had drawn many tourists and young families. Something about his demeanor spoke to me. His presence was so loud, but coupled with his down to earth vibe and quiet yearning to blend in, he stood out anyways. I seldom take photos with a subject right in the middle, but felt it was appropriate this time around which was perfect for this assignment.
