Introduction

in this conceptual unit, we able in unique art forms like stories, writing, and filmography. With such topics, we are taught to use DSLR cameras, Tascam Audio Recorders, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Animate, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, Avid Pro Tools, WordPress, and Google Apps.

At the ending of the first quarter, It was quite an experience. I was able to finish so much in that time, more than I ever have in my life so far. It’s quite an experience to lean something new almost every single day at this program.

Art Reflection

For this art Project, it was of my first ones. As a group, we all went to the SF MOMA. The objective of this whole trip was to explore through all of the art forms there and take a photo of an art piece that spoke to you the most. With that art piece, we were meant to create a reflection with a limited amount of words and and explain how it makes us feel while looking at it. The art piece I had chosen was Wayland’s sound by Anselm Kiefer. A simple piece with a variety of dark colors and a grey wing in the center. The wing, which was only one in a pair of two, reminded me of freedom, even with one wing missing.

Parody Song

This assignment was to choose a random song that we liked and create a parody out of it, but, we had to sing it like we didn’t know how to sing. For me, I had chosen “Call My Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen and tried to make the lyrics the opposite of the original.

Lyrics

Don’t throw that wish a bowl

Ask someone else,they’ll tell you

I looked at you and cried

And now you’re here no more

I sold my soul to a fish

A drink and dine for a hit

I was not looking for this

Now get out of the way

Why stare at me?

Wear clothes, come at me

Loud night wind were cooling

Please leave me be, thank you!

Hey, I just met you, take this really,

Don’t freaking call me, so leave me be.

Please don’t look at me, I plead

Here’s not my number, so please don’t call me.

Hey, I just met you, take this seriously,

Don’t freaking call me, and leave me be.

And All you guys, please don’t  chase me

Here’s Not my number, don’t freaking call me!

Film

During the conceptual unit in film class, we were able to create a few small projects like ‘Scavenger Hunt,’, Green screen practice’, and ‘Double Mint’. We were even able to create our own small experimental film. While in the process of such projects, we were able to learn different techniques in how to film by using a Dutch tilt, panning, medium shot, long shot, close up, extreme close up, and more. We have quite the small class. six students total and with such a small group, we are able to, get things done much faster. We are able to receive more feedback as well on each project we create.

Experimental Film

It took a few weeks of practice and critiques. Our whole class giving ideas and feedback to make this film the best it could be at the time. Since we were still leaning new skills, not everything was perfect. Everything was a process, and finally, it all came together.
