I am a junior at Mt. View High School and Freestyle Academy, I am also an artist and movie lover. I love hanging out with my friends and family, as well as visits to the city. I am a person who loves to try new things but also likes to stick with good pastimes. I like to stay up late and eat a lot of sweets. I am part Mexican and part Scottish, I am also bilingual. I also really like to meet new people and visit new places – I love travelling. So far, the best place I’ve been to would be Mexico or Hawaii, both were very fun. I am also a person who loves to listen and help others. In the future, I want to be the type of person that’s easy to talk to and can make someone laugh when they’re having a bad day.
Some of my core values in life are respect, kindness, empathy, love, knowledge, passion, and curiosity. I believe these values are the most important because they contribute to leading a happy life and making others around you happy. One value that I especially practice is passion. I believe passion is crucial in whatever you do, or whatever you want to do. As long as you have passion in your life, it’s a good life. I also strongly believe in kindness and empathy because if you’re kind to others, you can be kind to yourself.
Something I’m very passionate about in life is doing everything I can. I have what some call FOMO- fear of missing out, so I’m constantly worried that I’m gonna miss out on something. This is why I have tried to participate in as many things as I can, to experience everything. One thing I’m especially passionate about is Design. I really love creating things that use different colors and are aesthetically pleasing. Along with Design, I absolutely love movies, I love to watch all types of movies, no matter how old or new.
I chose to come to Freestyle because when I learned about it, it seemed like such a cool program and I’d be able to get a lot of experience working with freestyle resources. I also really liked how it seemed like such an intimate community where everybody knew each other and were friends. Freestyle also has cool classes like Digital Media, Design, and a different type of English class. In all of these classes, we learn in a different type of way, in a creative way. Overall, I really like the opportunities Freestyle provides and I hope to develop many skills there.
