For this humor project, I decided to use comic illustrations to poke fun at conspiracy theorists. My main inspirations for this project were Youtuber “Nigahiga”, and stand-up comedian Hannibal Buress. On shows like Saturday Night Live, Buress often portrays a tired, lackadaisical character, which I used in my comic as well. Nigahiga has done some similar skits in which he creates ridiculous theories and uses them to make fun of real-life conspiracy theorists, as well.
I thought this project was fun and showed me how difficult it actually is to be funny. I struggled a lot with coming up with a product that could actually make me smile or laugh, but eventually, I was able to create this comment that I was happy with.
