Conceptual Web Page

For the conceptual webpage, the Juniors have to find abstract ways to express themselves and are forced to use their communication skills to prevail and answer this one question. “How can I use unconventional forms to express myself?”. We get projects like poetry, music, art, animation, and many adobe software’s to do so. We also get great equipment to do so, we get to use DSLR Cameras, Tascam Audio Recorders, and even all of the adobe programs.

Haiku Section

For this project we got a prompt in English to write a haiku. We used this Haiku to record the audio while playing background music and added a picture from our photoblog from digital media.

This is my behind the scenes of the project. In this we learned how to fade in and fade out of the screens and learned how to import audio. This was entertaining because it was our first project in Adobe Premier.

Poetry

For this assignment Mr. Greco let us write a free verse poem with no prompt allowing us to use maximum creativity. I wrote mine about creating and getting over mental blocks in skateboarding. Mr. Flo let us create an audio recording of it and put background music along with a picture. We did all of this in pro tools and learned how to use html web pages to code it. Sorry the link isn’t working at the moment.

Listen to my Free Verse Poem Intention Statement!

Here is some poetry pro tools action. This was my first time ever using pro tools so it felt pretty foreign and I had many technical difficulties along the way, but we got it. It was a great learning experience and a fun one at that.

Elements and Principles of Art

In this project we found pictures from around the internet that represented different parts of the elements and principles of art.

Animation Work

In this years animation class we learned the foundation of animation which is stop motion and individual frame work. These projects were especially fun. This is also the early stages of animation.

Phenakistoscope Wheel

This was our first animation project and was super fun to make.

This project was super fun, I love the idea of animation and have always thought it was super interesting, but I have never been the best at drawing so these projects always take me super long.

Zoetrope strip

In this project we experimented with the idea of frame by frame on paper, this was also a very old method of animation.

This one was especially hard because it was impossible to find the right angle, but this project was overall super fun to do.

Flipbook

In this assignment we were tasked to make a 90 frame flip book.

This was my favorite project out of all of them, it took me by far the longest and was super fun to do. This is what really got me hooked on animation and helped me realize how fun and relaxing animation can reall

Stop Motion Paper Cutout

In this project we got to experiment with cutting paper and using background music to portray a certain theme.

This project was especially fun because we got to use fun audio to make our animation seem more fun and express ourselves more. It was also fun just cutting and taking the photos. This was my second favorite project. I had a hard time really making everything stay in the same place.

Stop Motion with Figure

We got to use a action figure or toy from our house and have him do anything we wanted.

This was especially fun because I got to use fun sounds to make it more my style. Some problems I ran into were that I had trouble keeping him at all still in the air, but overall it was super fun and I even got to eat a Graham Cracker in the process!

Bonus Drawing that I’m proud of

I drew a manga for my English final. I did a report on the classic manga artist Eiichiro Oda the writer of “One Piece”. This manga is a classic and most selling manga of all time. I did a simple spin off with his character designs and their personalities, hope you enjoy. This is my most proud piece yet.

This is my most proud piece of art yet, I am super happy on how it turned out and very to happy to see that I’m making progress in drawing and in art in general. This project was the deal breaker for me, now I love drawing and messing around drawing fun stuff like this. Hopefully I will continue to grow as an artist so I can produce more content.
