This image falls into the category of composition. Leading lines are used to guide the audiences eye to a certain point or subject. In this case the leading lines are the tree bark lines that are leading upward to the rest of the tree. This photo was taken in my backyard. I have over 13 large redwood trees all over my front and backyard. I can always see their distinct tree bark lines, so I thought it would be cool to photograph that. I positioned myself with my camera at the bottom of the tree and shot the image upward to better capture the lines of the tree.
