New Beginnings

(ISO/100, f/3.5, SS 1/10)

The prompt for this photo was “Our world is full of circular patterns; as some things end, others begin. Tell us a Story of a New Beginning”. I knew I wanted to take a picture of a new sprout because it they are embodiment of the life cycle and I will never pass up an opportunity to take a picture of a plant. I decided to choose these weeds that grow between the cracks of our bricks because the rainy season is the only time when they sprout before dying in the summer and coming back again. I like how their goals and aspirations are always just to live, to bend towards the sun to enjoy life before it ends. It’s always nice to have new ambitions and many are created during the new year, but it is always important to keep a one thing repeating, to enjoy life.
