Tell a Lie

The “tell a lie” prompt was hard at first. I was thinking, the camera is the one thing that doesn’t tell a lie, but after doing some research I realized that it is actually pretty easy to lie with a camera. Depending on what you choose to show, the angle, and adding things can all make you create a story that is completely made up. For my photo I tried to lie by making it seem like the flowers were underwater. To do this I had a glass pan full of water that I held above the flowers with one hand while taking the picture with the other (I should have just asked another person for help). The shadow gives the illusion that the flower is underwater, even thought it is not.
