I didn’t have much of a plan when I saw this prompt. I wanted to capture the story of a stranger naturally and not have to go up to somebody and ask them to do a pose or something. Because of that I knew that I would just need to wait until I felt the moment was right. While traveling in Japan, I found this moment. A lone fisherman sitting out on the docks, facing away from mount Fuji, focused purely on the waters and his boat. This stranger’s story can show how beauty and purpose can be found in smaller things that make you happy. You don’t always have to be appreciating the grand and impressive thing you see everyday, sometimes, its better for you to just appreciate the fun activity you get to do every once in a while.
