Rule of Thirds

I love my dog, and I love having him in photos. When we had a rule of thirds challenge, I knew I wanted him in it. Koda loves to laze about outside, usually when there’s sunshine, but he followed me outside for a nap when I was taking some photos. I love how expressive his face is. Slightly sad, kind of bored, almost like he wished it was sunnier or that I would stop taking pictures so we can go inside. Using the rule of thirds, I pushed him to the extreme edge of the photo, making him look a lot more tired and emphasizing his more negative face, squishing him in the frame. I also love the emptiness it creates around him, like he’s lonely.
