Current Events
I took this photo at West Wind right as the sun was starting to show more. It had been a very rainy and cold month in California so when it started to warm up, I was excited to go out and take photos. After the rain, the grass started to grow and got much greener so it was a very pretty scene.
Small vs. Large
With this photo, I decided to cut out the people and make an outline to draw more attention towards them. The blank background behind them wasn’t that interesting so I wanted to highlight the people.
The Elements
This is a photo I took at a park while I was playing guitar. It was the very start of winter before all the grass had died and I thought I would take a photo to capture how beautiful grass and flowers looked in the sun. When I want to go out in nature this is my favorite place to visit because of all the grass and trees.
Who Inspires Me
This old photograph was taken of my grandfather and his family (he is the youngest one). I look up to my grandfather in many ways, but his story during the holocaust has to be one of the most inspirational ones I’ve heard. His experiences have taught me that even in the darkest times, there are always going to be people you can rely on for help and kindness.
Reflections
This photo was taken in my kitchen through the reflection of my windows at night. I liked that because it was dark outside and well lit in my kitchen, you could see the reflection of people. This was supposed to represent a quick moment in time through a window reflection.
Tell A Lie
I don’t this photo is necessarily telling a lie, but it is putting up a facade. With fake paper lips and paper face and real lipstick, the photo is quite unsettling.
