About Me

Homecoming 2026!

My name is Valentina Prince, and I’m a junior at Mountain View High School and Freestyle Academy. I was born and raised in the Bay Area. My mom immigrated from Brazil, and my dad is a California native. I’d describe myself as outgoing and thoughtful. I’m the kind of person who remembers the little details about people. I love to laugh, and nobody makes me laugh harder than my friends and family. I’m also a huge foodie, steak and sushi are my favorites. Wellness is a very big part of my life, and I’m always finding ways to take care of my body and mind. Most of all, I love to travel. Trying new foods, hearing new languages, and seeing how people live in different places always inspire me. Beyond that, I’m fascinated by politics and business, and how they shape the world we live in. I bring all of that curiosity into my filmmaking. Every place and every person has a story, and I want to capture as many as I can!

My core values are hard work, creating value, having fun, wellness, and honesty. I believe in working hard and putting real effort into everything I do, because I want whatever I create, whether it’s a film, a project, or someday a business, to actually be worth something. At the same time, I think life should be fun! Taking care of my body and mind is a big priority for me, and I’ve learned that I do my best work when I’m healthy, balanced, and enjoying what I’m doing. Most importantly, I value being honest and authentic. I’d rather be real with people than tell them what they want to hear, and I try to make sure everything I make reflects who I actually am.

Right now, I’m most passionate about lacrosse, my friends and family, and film. I play lacrosse for my school, and I love being part of a team. My friends and family are super supportive and so fun to be around, and spending time with them is one of my favorite things. I’m also really into film, and being a student at Freestyle has given me the chance to tell stories in a way I never could before.

I chose Freestyle after seeing how much my friend’s siblings loved it. Now that I’m here, I get it! I love having so many tools available to tell stories, and being surrounded by people who are creative and motivated pushes me to do better work. I’ve learned how to use equipment and software I’d never touched before, and one of my favorite projects so far has been my experimental film. I loved the style and how much freedom we had to try something different.
