Humor

For our final freestyle project, we got to make the humor project. To start the unit, we read Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. This book taught me the basics of humor and allowed me to get a new and more insightful view into the more technical side of humor. A side that I had never seen before. Then we were told to pick two comedians to study/analyze that would help us make the upcoming project more comedic. I decided to analyze the dynamic duo of Key and Peele

Attila and I then decided that we were going to mix the ideas that the humorist that we studied had given us. So for Attila, he studied Eric Andre and his street skits and we wanted to incorporate that into our film. I studied Key and Peele who also did a lot of skits. So the only option that left us was to make a skit. First step, Write a script

Second Step, Film. We then began to film and decided that a voice-over would sound better in the video so we went with that idea. Here is how it turned out.

Reflection

I had a great time in this unit. There were no flaws and making the video was some of the most interesting things I have done in English all year. This was incredibly fun and being able to do it with my good friend Attila made it even better. I hope everybody else had as good of a time watching it as I had making it.
