Warmth Photo (October)

A picture of a cross in front of the setting sun.

When taking this photo I wanted to capture a feeling of comfort and safety to portray warmth. Churches, or religion in general, are often used as a means of comfort and guidance in life, so paired with the warm colors in the background, It came out very nicely.

Inspiration Photo (September)

A picture of myself looking up at the stars.

When taking this photo I tried to capture the emotion of bliss, because some people find star-gazing to be a relaxing activity, and looking up at the chaos that goes on above us can help us find tranquility. I feel like this relates to inspiration in how certain experiences motivate our thoughts and help us come up with creative ideas.

Composition Photo (September)

A picture of myself using my at-home setup

This photo uses the rule of thirds principle, capturing the subject (my hand) in the bottom-left section to attract more attention to it. The photo also has depth of field as the background, specifically the mouse and mousepad, are blurry where as my hand and the keyboard are in complete focus.

Story Telling Photo (September)

A picture of myself focused on a pile of masks

This photo containing the masks alludes to the pandemic which all of us just went through. The masks give notions to this challenging time where all of us struggled and persevered but were able to get through, so it uses simple objects to capture a complex story while also explaining a bit about myself and how I collected those masks throughout the pandemic.
