Artist Statement

 

 

ARTIST STATEMENT

 

My character is Warren and he is a sixteen year old rocker who loves classic rock and metal, but specifically, he’s really into the band, Van Halen. Since Warren is a rocker and his favorite band is Van Halen, I had him wear a Van Halen band t-shirt, a metal wrist band, and a couple of bandanas. In my flash fiction, he usually wears a purple head band, but I didn’t have one so I just used my navy blue bandana and edited it to look purple which turned out great.
Although I never said in my flash fiction that Warren played the guitar, I had him holding one because it added to the whole “rocker” theme. Over all I tried to make Warren look like the hardcore rocker that he’s suppose to be, with the dark colors and lighting, as well as try and make him stand out.
