Pure Bliss: Animatic

An animatic is a rough draft of our animation that includes the sound affects, and camera movements that I want for my animation. The purpose of an animatic is to plan out what I want for my animation, what needs to be included in the animation, what can be taken out, what sounds should I use, and etc. Without the animatic I would be totally lost on where to begin with my animation.

In order to create my animatic I used a program called AdobeFlashCs6 to create the moving sound affects, and camera angles for my animation. It was a huge process to create this animatic, but in the end it all turned out well. I had a lot of fun creating this animatic, and I had a lot of fun creating the graphic novel that goes with the animatic, and animation.

How Did I do it?

Before I began to create my animatic I had to scan my graphics novel, then take those scans to photoshop and separate each panel into individual sections for my animatic. After placing those scans into my animatic I had to chose the type of sound affects I needed for my animation.

I believe I went over about 20 to 30 flies of sound affects, and took roughly about 25 sound affects for the animatic, and animation.
