Who Am I
For my “Why I Write” essay I wrote about my relationship with reading and writing, and how dyslexia affected both. The point of the essay was to explain why I still like writing even though it has always been hard for me. While writing it I thought a lot about my childhood, some of my teachers, and how writing slowly became something I actually liked instead of something I was scared of.
I think this essay answers “Who am I?” pretty well because it shows a big part of my life. It shows that I am creative, stubborn, and that I keep trying even when something is hard. Writing this also helped me realize that being bad at spelling or reading doesn’t mean I am bad at coming up with stories. I think I value creativity, imagination, and people who actually try to understand others instead of judging them right away.

My Core Values
My core values are similar because they all represent who I am and what matters to me. Loyalty, Kindness, Gratitude, Honesty, Love, Positivity, and Determination are different because they each have their own meaning. I chose happy, positive music because it matches the feeling I wanted my video to give off. I also gave each word a cool effect that connects to the value it represents. For example, Determination flickers because sometimes in life you can lose determination and gain it back quickly, just like a flickering light. I wanted to make my video creative and positive while showing the values that are important to me and represent who I am.
