This year’s Narrative 2 project expanded on the storytelling work we did last year, but on a much larger and more collaborative scale. Instead of writing an individual flash fiction piece, we worked in groups to develop a fully realized world, complete with detailed characters, relationships, and a more complex storyline. We studied different texts, including 1984, to better understand how authors build immersive worlds and structure their narratives, then used those ideas as inspiration for our own project.
Throughout the process, we combined skills from all three classes to bring our story to life. This included creating a pitch presentation, designing visual pieces like a movie poster and surreal compositions, and developing layered artwork that reflected different aspects of our world. This project pushed me to think more deeply about storytelling, collaboration, and how to communicate ideas both visually and verbally.
