The prompt for this photo was to compose holiday traditions with balance, so for this photo I represented the two contrasting sides of
Christmas for me, with the hectic, wasteful side of the holiday, yet also the beautiful, bright part of it. I arranged the wrapping paper to create some more symmetry, and the lights on the tree create a balance in value, where the image seems split down the middle, one side in the dark and one in the light.
