What is the Humor Project?
We were told to find two humorists that we find funny and to use our comedy toolbox skills to create a project we found funny, and hopefully, other people will also. We had to make a proposal and a very rough script. Then we were put to work.
Our Project
The creators of this project are the sorta vampire-looking and mysterious Belle Williams and Christa Pauly!
In this project, we went through many ideas but due to the limitation of time and the pandemic we decided to go for this option which was Daily mediations where we put quotes that we have collected over the time of our high school career and put them to so well um “Inspiring” Photos that Christa photoshopped together.
Proposal
Both of us will be making pictures in the style of bad Facebook posts of inspiring quotes, but we are replacing the quote with something dumb one of our friends said. In the photos we make we are using parody by switching the thoughtful message of the original with something intentionally dumb and pointless. We are also using exaggeration in this project with the exaggeratedly bad graphic design. Some of the ways we are doing this are in the poor image resolution, ugly font choices, and unappealing color combinations. We will put it in a video to make it all come together. The photo editing will be done in Adobe Photoshop and the video editing will be done in Adobe After Effects.
