In this photo, I aimed to capture the feeling of loneliness. I used a center framed composition to accomplish this, as it isolates the subject. I also edited the photo to increase in contrast between the flower and the background in order to further the sense of isolation. When I first saw this flower, I was immediately struck by its sense of loneliness. It was the sole flower in its whole vicinity. Combined with its slightly droopy posture, I knew it would be the perfect subject.
