FADING LOVE

(SHORT STORY PHOTONARATIVE)

My short story is about a sister and a brother, Adam and how their lives are slowly torn apart. They used to spend a lot of time with each other. The sister practically raised Adam. Her parents had a lot of problems, and often fought. Her parents finally decided to get a divorce. The sister stayed with her mom, and Adam went with their dad. They would spend the weekends together but it wasn't the same as it used to be. Their lives slowly faded away from each other as they each grew up.

My inspiration was mostly that I wanted to use my little brother in the pictures I was going to take. A lot of families get a divorce, like mine, so I decided I would write a short story about it. I used some of my own life in the story to make it more believable. Some challenges was I wasn't sure if I was going to make the parents die in a fire or if I was going to make them get a divorce. I ended up deciding in the divorce because it was more believable, and happens to more families. I am most proud of writing the story because it is partially true, and it came out very good I think. I want the viewer to know that many families get a divorce, but separating the kids is a bad decision and if both parents still want to see the children then make them go between houses. When parents divorce and the kids have to suffer by not seeing their siblings then it is harder for them.

My photonarrative is pictures of a girl and her brother and they are slowly walking down the middle of the street getting farther and farther away. Also in the picture to show that he is going in and out of her life the brother is fading in and out of the pictures as they get farther.

I thought this was a good idea because in the story they still see each other but slowly they stop. He fades in and out of her life when she goes to see him. I had a few challenges with this photonarrative because I procrastinated in taking my pictures for a long time. Also i wasn't sure if I wanted to make it during the day or at night. I decided if there was enough light outside to do it outside then I would try to make it work. If

My imovie is a recording of my short story and the pictures that I took from my photonarrative. I placed the pictures along with the short story so that it made sense and was interesting.

I am proud that I finally finished it. Also I am proud that it keeps your attention and you want to hear the end of it. Some challenges I had were to keep the words with recording of my voice. Also matching the pictures into the best part of the short story. Another challenge was to keep the listeners interest and that was hard in the beginning but then I think by changing some of the pictures I made it better.
