This is my webgems page. Webgems are websites that I use and want to share because they are fun or useful. This is part part the answer to the question "Who am I?" becuase the websites I use say something about me as a person. They also give me ideas and inspiration for my own websites.

Coffititivity is a website that plays the sounds you would hear in a coffee shop. Similar to something that plays rains noise, however it is proven that coffee shop noise help people focus. There are several different tracks to choose from, depending on what helps you most. Coffitivity creates an ambience that helps people focus, so if you are working on homework but keep getting distracted, try Coffitivty!

Mental Floss is contains many facts, quizzes, other trivia, articles, games, and other things. There is also a magazine from Mental Floss, which you can subscribe to. It contains similar things to what is on the website. Mental Floss contains a lot of odd trivia that you can impress people with! There are interesting articles, videos, and how-tos. Mental Floss is educational in unconventional ways.

Buzzfeed is an entertainment website. It has things from articles to quizzes you can take. Buzzfeed is useful when you are bored or what to catch up on the latest new inventions or random facts that you probably didn't know! Buzzfeed has interesting articles you can read to find out about news stroies, mostly centered around celebrities. There are some questionablility about whether the articles are completely true or not, however they are entertaining nonetheless!

From top news stories to exploring science and technology, BBC News covers it all. BBC News is a trustable news source with double checked facts and reports. BBC porvides text, video, audio, and photos. BBC News covers old news stories to new stories. BBC is useful for staying up to date with what is happening in the world. It can be used to stay informed and knowledgable about not only current events in the US, but also all over the world.

The Onion is a satirical online news website. The articles and reports are all false, and hilarious. The onion provides entertainment. There are some interesting articles. It is a fun way to make people look twice if they think that you are reading a real news story. There are very elaborate articles and even video reports. Like a real news website The Onion has many sections for your every need. There are Sports, Politics, Science, Entertainment. However they are all entertaining!

This website allows you to splatter paint on your screen. As you move your mouse it creates a line of paint. The longer you stay in one area, the bigger the splatter you make is. You can click to change the color of the paint and you will get a random new color. This is a fun website for passing time and creating interesting "paintings." This website is useful for when you need a mindless activity to do, and you get a cool end product. It is a win-win website!

You can ask people questions, follow who you like, and share what you like. When you follow someone you can see what they post, if you like what you see you can reblog it or like it. Tumblr is useful for passing time, or for getting creative ideas. You can follow a wide variety of blogs from funny blogs to art blogs. Tumblr allows people to share and create. It can allow people to connect or show off something they created.

SoundCloud is a music sharing website. Musicians, whether famous or not, can share their music for others to listen to. You can follow people, create playlists, or upload your own music to share. This is useful if you want to share your music or if you like listening to new music. I have found lots of cool music on SoundCloud that I listen to all the time now! I think this is an important website to share because it is fun, entertaining and creative. SoundCloud you find awesome original, creative music that you might not find anywhere else!
llamafont.com is a website that uses llamas as text. Their motto is “say it in llama!” This shows that you can say anything in llama. It transforms your writing into llamas. This is fun for things such as cards and other projects. It is a great way to say something in an unusual way. It is fun entertainment and a great way to make people laugh. Sometimes you just cannot find the perfect font to use, so why not use llamas? I think this is an important website to share because everyone needs access to fun fonts, or just a daily dose of llama.
