For this photo, I used an image of myself holding up a water bottle. I use this water bottle in many of my images that use shadow because it translucent, and thus has a rather unique and colorful shadow.

I decided to tell their story with mine, with a map of my home country and the flags of places we’ve been. It tells a subtle enough story about our origins and experiences, while also being compositionally decent.
I chose to take a photo of a Maramures style Clop Hat, representing my Romanian Heritage. I keep a few items to remind me of where I came from in my room, so I may never forget my roots.
The theme was flowers, and I decided to choose a more isolated photo, with only two flowers visible – one in the foreground and one in the background. I chose this to represent a more melancholy feeling.
This photo shows aging in the matter of a sewn blanket. While the experience of sewing the blanket ends, the blanket itself becomes something greater that can be remembered fondly and seen – a literal tapestry of time passing.
