Ten Things I've Learned So Far In My Life

The assignment for this project was to think of ten things we have learned in our lives so far, but they couldn't be cliche. These are the ten I came up with:

1. I have learned that you should treat everybody kindly; you don’t know what others can hide with a smile.
2. Listen to more than the lyrics of a song. Listen to the meaning.
3. Find someone to inspire you to do what you want.
4. Know that most things won’t turn out as you originally plan for them to be.
5. Draw without anything in mind. Just let your mind think up things along the way.
6. Make new colors when painting. You just might find the perfect one.
7. Play random notes while playing an instrument. You never know what you might find. It may be the next song you write.
8. Conquering your fears doesn’t always involve putting yourself out there.
9. Never assume that someone’s life is perfect. Though it may seem so on the outside, they could struggling internally and not think life is worth living.
10. Always be there for others, even if they aren’t there for you.

For the Ten Things podcast assignment, I used GarageBand and Flash. I used GarageBand to record myself saying each thing, and to make the background music loop. I used Flash to bring everything together and make each keyframe the right length and in the right place.

English Media Piece

This assignment is my Media Piece for English. I had to represent my personal statement using an original image that I produced, making the viewer really think about my statement.
