Leading Lines
I took this photo of a red velvet pancake while I was in Chicago. I chose to use it to show leading lines in food photography. The red velvet ganache is drizzled vertically while the cream cheese frosting is drizzled horizontally, making a messy grid where powdered sugar can be seen through the gaps.

Rule of Odds
I chose to photograph 3 mochi donuts for ‘Rule of Odds’. On the side of the box, there are also 5 holes.
-
Negative Space
For this photo I decided to photograph fog rolling over some distant mountains.
-
Center Frame Portrait
For this prompt I chose to take a portrait of my mom dressed up for a costume party. She is alined in the center to achieve the look of a center framed portrait.

Balance in Holiday Traditions
The holiday tradition I chose to photograph was Japanese New Year. I visited a local Japanese market and photographed kagami mochis, a traditional new years decoration.

Leading Lines
I photographed a building I saw while at the MOMA in SF in an upward perspective to show the lines skyrocketing up and the lines that make up the windows as well.
-
Symmetry Landscape
To show symmetry I chose to photograph 3 identical structures that were lined up consecutively. Each structure cast identical shadows over mosaic tiles and were equidistantly separated.

Rule of Thirds Motion
For this photo I tried to incorporate moving cars to show motion, using long exposure shots so that the tail lights were extended. By using the rule of thirds I lined up one of the cars in the top right intersecting point and lined up the rest to be in the left third.
