Narrative Visual Perspective in Animation

In Animation, we learned to use programs like Maya, ZBrush, and Substance Painter. Here are the projects we have done so far.

An axe I first made the general shape for in Maya, then I smoothed it out and added details to in ZBrush, and painted in Substance Painter, as well as rendered in Substance Painter.

These are renders of a scene I made in Maya, Zbrush, and Substance Painter. These are rendered in Maya.

This is a character I made in Maya, Zbrush, and Substance Painter. I compiled two renders together in Photoshop to show multiple sides of my character’s model.

Here is a compilation of clips I animated in Maya with my character model.

For this scene, our class captured real-life action with a mocap suit for our animations. This was made in Maya as well.

I have valued learning to work with 3d objects, both in creating them and animating them. I haven’t done much 3d work before this class, and I feel like I’ve learned a lot in these past few months. Now I know how to use various 3d software such as Maya, Zbrush, and Substance Painter.
