The Animation!
From the flash fiction I created, I had much, much drafting and editing of my story. I changed things such as the main character's "feel", his overarching drive for his actions, and where the story took place entirely! While I did enjoy writing my flash fiction, I felt certain aspects of it were unreal and awkward to animate, especially as a first time animator. Nevertheless, I tried to stay true to my flash fiction!
As mentioned on the Home page, I used many Adobe products: Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash! Coming into the Narrative unit I had never even touched Flash in my life, I had only used a smaller animating software that used stickfigures and went frame by frame. Transitioning to Flash was a shock! Being able to do all these different things in one single application was surprising to say the least. From the previous unit (the Self-Portrait unit), I had already a lot of experience with Illustrator and Photoshop, but Flash just was a whole different ball park. Having a myriad of tools such as the bone tool and the ability to use motion tweens gave us a huge spectrum of what we could create!
Through much time and effort, I finally completed the Flash animation, and I really hope you enjoy it!
