Hello I’m Jennifer! I love making art that creates an emotional storytelling experience that helps people practice empathy. I attended CSSSA in 2017 and joined Freestyle Academy of Technology and Communication because I want to continue my animation education. After high school I will study Character Animation at CalArts. Something I’m also very passionate about is working with animals, I volunteer a lot of time at a local educational farm and I raise three chickens and one turtle.
I’ve made this website for my Freestyle Academy and personal projects. I value freestyle because I’ve got to experience community and challenge in my classes. It’s great that I can integrate art and storytelling into all my classes. I think Freestyle brought out the best in my art and helped my build up my portfolio for many colleges. The Freestyle community has been great and supportive.
Any advice I’d give to students entering freestyle is: Use every project as an opportunity to make portfolio work.
