I’m back from the summer and our first photo blog of the year was to take a picture of something from our culture. My family is chinese, so meaning that chinese new year is a big deal. Even though it not very close to chinese new year, we still have decoration prop up around the house. One of these decoration is this weave ribbon that is placed inside a room or at the front of the door. Since my door doesn’t have a hook or a good place to put it, I put mine right next to the door. This is a symbol of good luck and drives away the evil spirits
Not sure why this photo is flipped… but I guess wordpress is just being difficult. I did some color correction to dim the background but then it made everything a little bit more darker which I fixed by creating a mask and highlighting the ribbon
