Center Frame Portrait
This image is a portrait of my Grandma. I practiced my photography skills on people, and tried to use a shallow depth of field to pull her away from a background a little bit. I chose this photo because I liked the composition, and I love my Grandma. It was well framed, and I liked her expression.

New Beginnings
This image represents new beginnings because it is a new flower blooming and starting its life. There is also a second flower in the background showing that this plant is beginning to prosper again. I thought this was a good photo because a lot of plants and flowers are not in bloom because of the cold weather, but this was an exception.

Trash
In this image, I made flowers out of a trash In-N-Out bag to create a nice photo. I used tissue paper in the center and put them in an old cup. I thought this was a creative way to use trash and make something out of it.

Holiday Traditions
This image shows the holiday tradition of decorating a Christmas tree. My family enjoys this tradition. I used the balance of having one ornament in the center and then one on either side to make the image visually appealing.

Gift Stories
This photo shows a gift I received a long time ago. The books pages are folded into the word family, which is important because family is a gift in itself. I think this image tells an important message. I placed the book in the center to draw the focus to the word folded in the middle

White-Balance
I thought this image is creative and interesting to change the white balance for. I found this path while I was hiking, and thought it had a lot of elements that would make for a cool photo.

Leading Lines
This image represents leading lines because the path leads to a focal point, and the trees also make a pathway. I thought the lighting and composition of the image was interesting to look at.

Love Story
This is supposed to represent a love story because one rose stands out more than the others. Roses also tend to signify love so I thought this fit with the theme. I used a bouquet of flowers and used a spotlight to make the lighting more interesting.

Weight/Mass
This image shows a difference of weight between the big dog and the small dog. It was difficult to get my dogs to pose for the photo, but the results turned out how I wanted it too. I have the big dog in focus and the small dog out of focus to make the image more interesting to look at.

Symmetry in Landscape
This photo shows symmetry in landscape because there are two of the same type of plant spaced out evenly. I took the picture in a way that would have the two plants of opposite sides of the photo. It was difficult to find symmetry in landscape, but I thought this picture best represented it.
